Collaboration
We are stronger when we work together.
Collaboration is one of OMHAC’s core values because mental health and substance use support cannot fall on one organization, one provider, or one system alone. Stronger support is built when organizations, providers, partners, and community members come together to share knowledge, identify gaps, strengthen connections, and make resources easier to find.
Care Out Loud began as a way to bring people together around mental health awareness, substance use support, and community connection. Through that work, it became clear that the need was bigger than one event. The Onslow Mental Health Awareness Coalition was developed to continue that collaboration year round and help strengthen support throughout Onslow County.
OMHAC is a space for shared ideas, resource connection, outreach, education, and community centered problem solving. By working together, we can help make support more visible, more connected, and easier to access.
Collaboration means building something stronger together.
